Yemen - ANHRI condemns the killing of peaceful protesters
ANHRI condemned today the terrible crime committed yesterday by the security forces of the Yemeni legitimacy-less dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh in the capital of Sanaa. The crime, which is the most recent in his shameful history that is filled with violations against his peaceful people, claimed the lives of an estimated 28 protesters and injured 700 demanding the ousting of Saleh’s oppressive regime.
The crowds of the protesters had gathered in Al-Qaa district, near the Taghyeer square in Sanaa, then initiated a peaceful march that was supposed to take to a number of streets before settling in the same square. Pro-Saleh forces, enhanced with militias in Sanaa, attacked the protesters and shot them in order to disperse them by force. Thus far, 28 protesters have been killed and 700 were injured. (...)
